Through CALLS, partners connect directly with Local Solidarity Groups across Europe and refugee-led organisations in the Global South, enabling grounded, trust-based collaboration rooted in solidarity and lived experience.
Partners benefit from stronger local insight, more legitimate and inclusive partnerships, shared learning across regions, and opportunities to support refugee leadership in practice - while contributing to responses that are more relevant, accountable, and resilient for forcibly displaced communities.
Schools
By partnering with CALLS, schools join a network of schools all committed to our shared humanity and solidarity with refugees in exile in the Global South.
Driven by teachers, school staff, parents, schools in Europe partner with schools hosting refugee children in the Global South, raise awareness of the experiences of refugees, and play a key role in building a culture of humanity and solidarity.
International NGOs
Partnering with CALLS allows INGOs to move beyond subcontracting toward genuine power-sharing with refugee-led organisations. Through direct connections with RLOs and Local Solidarity Groups, INGOs can co-create locally-led approaches, improve programme relevance, and demonstrate meaningful progress on localisation and participation commitments.
National NGOs
CALLS offers national NGOs opportunities to build solidarity and peer partnerships with refugee-led organisations and civil society actors. Partnering with CALLS strengthens connections with refugees and other forcibly displaced communities, shared advocacy, and collaboration rooted in mutual respect and lived experiences.
Academic partners
Partnering with CALLS enables academic institutions to co-produce knowledge with grassroots civil society organisations across Europe and refugee-led organisations in the Global South, ensuring research is grounded in lived realities. CALLS offers pathways for ethical, participatory research, policy engagement, and learning that contribute to evidence-based change.
Artists and art institutions
CALLS is a social movement that uses art, theatre and culture to build solidarity with refugees in the Global South. By partnering with CALLS, art institutions and artists can support refugee-led creative initiatives in hosting countries in the Global South, amplify their voices through the arts in Europe and contribute to shifting the narrative about refugees.
Cities and local authorities
Partnering with CALLS helps cities join a network of “Solidarity Cities” in Europe to demonstrate a commitment to addressing a major societal challenge and receive recognition that signals your adherence to global standards and strengthen your reputation and prestige, both domestically and internationally. CALLS supports city-to-community and city-to-city learning grounded in solidarity, participation, and practical solutions.
