CALLS Network

Our Network
CALLs is a network of Local Solidarity Groups (LSGs) in Europe engaged in active solidarity with Refugee-Led Organisations (RLOs) in the Global South.
Local Solidarity Groups
Local Solidarity Groups (LSGs) are small local teams, circles or clubs of members from all walks of life, who feel concerned by the humanitarian crisis and its impact on refugees and are united in their shared belief in our common humanity and in solidarity.
LSGs promote refugee agency in humanitarian action and co-create public spaces in European countries for solidarity with refugees in the Global South. Their work includes creating safe spaces to exchange and learning about humanitarian action; communicating and supporting RLO initiatives; and raising critical funds to support refugee-led initiatives by women, youth and persons with disabilities in particular, and community resilience in exile..
Refugee-Led Organisations
“An organization or group in which persons with direct lived experience of forced displacement play a primary leadership role and whose stated objectives and activities are focused on responding to the needs of refugees and/or related communities.”
UNHCR definition built on consultations with organizations led by displaced and stateless persons, NGOs and academics and field-tested by RLOs in 14 country operations.
Partner Organisations
Today’s humanitarian challenges are multi-dimensional, interconnected, and shaped by political, social, and economic forces. Reshaping humanitarian action and shifting power requires collective action. No one can do it alone!
The Value of Partnership
Meaningful and sustainable impact depends on strong, principled partnerships built on trust, complementarity, and shared values.

CALLS Network seeks to bring together a diverse array of partners, including international and national NGOs, civil society organisations, academic institutions, cities and towns, donors, the private sector and committed individuals, who share the belief that collaboration must be embedded in everything we do.

By partnering with a wide range of actors moved by the same concerns and our shared values, we strengthen solidarity, amplify impact, and help reshape a more inclusive and accountable humanitarian system.
Your support makes everything we do possible – from funding community-based initiatives led by refugees, in particular women, youth and persons with disabilities to supporting refugee agency in humanitarian action; from creating public spaces in European countries to enact solidarity with refugees in the Global South, raising awareness to protect human dignity and giving visibility to this work, to producing a solid evidence basis to scale up the approach.
